Land Kit Planting Workflow

This workflow requires the full version of Land Kit.

Buy a Land Kit license today or request a 30-day trial.

This updated workflow for version 2.0 will allow you to utilize a plant database and environmental constraints to explore more biodiverse planting options on your site. Select the relevant environmental conditions for your site, specify important plant constraints, delineate color swatches, and export your outputs for documentation or visualization. Use a CSV file, previously saved plant list, or even AI to generate a plant list. Outputs allow for usage in a range of software include Revit, AutoCAD, Land F/X, Lumion and more!

No Grasshopper knowledge required.

The workflow also includes the following functionality improvements:

  1. Create Plant List from Prompt BETA allows you to describe plants your want for your site and this component will use ChatGPT to find and format 10 plants for you to use, which you can add to.

  2. Save Plant List will save your current plant list as a .land file, which stores plants and their information for usage later.

  3. Load Plant List will load a plant list from a .land file that you previously saved.

  4. Export to DAE will export all the blocks of baked plants beneath a parent layer (every plant under the _PLANTS layer) to separate DAE files. This will make importing to a rendering software, like Lumion, efficient
