Evaluates mesh elevation of vertices and creates a colored mesh.

INPUTS

  • topo mesh : Mesh describing topography

  • color : Color to tint the gradient

  • legend step : Step size for the legend steps

OUTPUTS

  • mesh : Colored mesh according to elevation

  • legend_colors : Colors of each legend step

  • step_domains : Domain of each legend step

Time to elevate your topography analysis!

While modeling your topography and visualizing your topographic output from your Draw Topo component, you can analyze the topo mesh live while you are working using the Elevation Analysis component to preview height variation across your site. The default colors range from dark brown to light brown, but, by plugging one or more color swatches into the color input, you can control the color of your gradient as well. Additionally, preview a legend using the legend colors and step domains outputs alongside a Legend component. Seeing the analysis of your topo mesh as you model can help guide your design process!
